CHICAGO — Gatsby Chocolate, the reduced-calorie brand created by Halo Top co-founder Doug Bouton, has unveiled candy-coated milk chocolate-style gems with three times fewer calories than M&M’s candies, according to the company.
Gatsby Gems are formulated with esterified propoxylated glycerol, a modified plant-based oil that tastes and functions like fat with fewer calories, and sweetened with a blend of allulose, erythritol and soluble corn fiber. A serving contains 70 calories and 4 grams of sugar.
