A structure fire closed North Pacific Highway for several hours Sunday as the Medford Fire Department battled a structure fire at Import Parts Center, 2295 N. Pacific Highway.
The fire, near Elm Avenue, broke out about noon, sending plumes of thick black smoke into the air. The area contains numerous businesses, but crews contained the blaze and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was not immediately available Sunday.
Kristina Johnsen, spokesperson for the city of Medford, said one employee was on site when the fire started, but that person got out safely and sustained no injuries.
